Single Parent Qualifications
- Single Parent is defined as any custodial parent. Single parent is someone who has children and has never been married, or has been divorced or widowed. Male or female, but must have documentation to prove custody or shared parenting if divorced.
- Not employed or under employed. Must meet State of Florida income guidelines.
- Must be receiving assistance from at least one of the following State or Federal programs:
- Unemployment compensation
- Food Stamps
- Medicaid/Medicare
- Subsidized Housing
- WIC or Kid Care
- SSI or SSD
- FASFA/Pell Grant
- Proof of Florida residency for at least one calendar year.
